What’s included 4 Nights of Astro photography tuition – provided by Gareth Mon Jones and Kat Lawman During the day time you will be able to join us on a guided tour of the island which will include Bardsey Island Mountain (167m) , Hermits Cave, the Bird Observatory , the chapel, and the lighthouse. We will also spend some time trying to photograph the wonderful wildlife on Bardsey island including the seals and puffins- tuition is not provided for this Sea fishing – please bring own rods All day time activities with us will be completely optional, you will have the chance to use this as your free time should you wish to do your own exploring of the island Accommodation We have access to one of Bardsey Islands grade 2 listed properties for the duration of the workshop The rooms available are 1 Double, 2 singles, and 1 twin None of the properties on Bardsey island have electricity, although lighting is provided it is essential to bring headtorches and spare batteries The accommodation will also have a gas cooker & a solar powered fridge freezer The water supply to the property comes from the mountain spring or the well Pets are not permitted Kit List DSLR/Mirrorless camera Wide angle lens of at 28mm or wider with aperture of F2.8 or wider Sturdy Tripod Memory Card Head torch and spare batteries Camera batteries Power banks to charge head torches, camera batteries & phones for 4 nights Warm and waterproof clothing Towels and washing kit Warm pyjamas- there is no heating in the rooms Bed sheets (duvets provided) and pillowcases Other lenses for wildlife photography/own fishing rods etc Bottled drinking water/snacks Extra Cost/ Not included The boat fair over to the island is £55 per person and is in addition to the tour price and paid directly to the boat owner- we can get this arranged for you Parking is £15 per week and is located at Cwrt farm- this is payable direct to the farmer G Roberts on arrival and there is no need to pre book Insurance not included Transport To the Llyn Peninsula is not provided Food- Ty Pellaf Farm shop and Café on the island will be able to provide us breakfast, lunch and evening meals or takeaways- there is also alcohol available to purchase from here- meals are bookable in advance. Please also bring food and drinks for the duration of your stay should you wish to use the cooking facilities at the property.
